    Alumni Demonstration Projects

The Alumni Demonstration Projects (ADP) is a key component of the SEA-UEMA project. The main purpose of ADP is to demonstrate ways and means to address urban environmental problems at community or city level. Demonstration projects are usually based on good UEM practices and innovative idea. They are implemented by alumni of AIT or members of SEA-UEMA project sub-sector networks. The demonstration projects are undertaken within one or more of the three key UEM urban environmental sub-sectors, viz., water and sanitation, solid waste and air pollution with gender equality and poverty as cross cutting themes. The individual projects will seek to demonstrate ways and means to achieve tangible results and impacts in terms of improving the environmental conditions. The duration of a demonstration project may vary from 6 – 12 months and the budget available for a project is US$20,000.
    Project Implementation Sites
Demonstration projects will be implemented in selected focus cities of Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Philippines, Timor-Leste, Thailand and Vietnam. Within the chosen urban areas, the low-income settlements and poor communities will be given more attention.
