    Cambodia

    Phnom Penh is the largest, most populous and capital city of Cambodia. It is also the capital of the Phnom Penh municipality. Once known as the Pearl of Asia in the 1920s, Phnom Penh, along with Siem Reap, is a significant global and domestic tourist destination for Cambodia. Phnom Penh is renowned for its traditional Khmer and French influenced architecture, along with its friendly people.

    Siem Reap, the capital of Siem Reap province that is located in northwestern Cambodia, is most widely known for being the closest city to the ruins of the temples of Angkor.

    Indonesia
    Jakarta is the capital and largest city of Indonesia. Located on the northwest coast of the island of Java, it has an area of 661.52 km² and a population of 8,792,000 (2004).

    Bandung is the provincial capital of West Java, Indonesia. The city has a population of around 2.2 million. Bandung Regency is the suburban area surrounding the city of Bandung. It became famous as the venue for the 1955 first conference of Non-aligned nations. .

    Surabaya is Indonesia's second-largest city, and the capital of the province of East Java. It is located on the northern shore of eastern Java at the mouth of the Mas River (Kali Mas) and the side of Strait of Madura. The city is one of the busiest ports in the country.

    Yogyakarta is a city and province of Indonesia on the island of Java. The city is known as a center of classical Javanese fine art and culture such as batik, ballet, drama, music, poetry and puppet shows. It is also famous as a center for Indonesian higher education.

    Lao PDR

    Vientiane is the capital city of Laos, situated in the Mekong Valley. The estimated population of the city is 200,000 (2005) while the number of people living in the Vientiane metropolitan area (the entire Vientiane Prefecture and parts of Vientiane Province) is believed to be over 730,000.

    Luang Prabang is a city in Laos; it was formerly the capital of a kingdom of the same name. The city of Luang Prabang is located in north central Laos, on the Mekong River about 425 km north of Vientiane. It has a population of about 22,000. Until the communist takeover in 1975, it was the royal capital, the seat of the kingdom of Laos. Today it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city is the capital of the Louangphabang Province.

    Philippines

    Quezon City is the former capital and the most populous city in the Philippines. Located on the island of Luzon, Quezon City is one of the cities and municipalities that comprise Metro Manila, the National Capital Region. The city was named after Manuel L. Quezon, the former president of the Commonwealth of the Philippines who founded the city and developed it to replace Manila as the country's capital.

    San Fernando City is a 3rd class city in the province of La Union, Philippines. It is the capital city of La Union and the regional center of the Ilocos Region (Region I). According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 102,082 people in 20,755 households. San Fernando is the financial, industrial and political center of the province, engaged in agriculture, aquaculture, shipping using the port of San Fernando, and other industrial sectors.

    Cebu City is the provincial capital of Cebu in the Philippines and is the second most important metropolitan center in the country. It is the country's main shipping hub and is home to more than 80% of the country's interisland shipping companies. Cebu is also the main hub, outside of the capital, of international flights into the country and is the most important center of commerce, trade, and industry in the Visayas and Mindanao, the southern parts of the country. According to the official 2000 census, it has a population of 718,821 people in 147,600 households.

    Naga City is a first class city in the province of Camarines Sur, Philippines. It is an important commercial and cultural center in the region. Naga City is located in the Bicol Region, a peninsula on the southeastern tip of the island of Luzon. It is 377 km south of Manila, the nation's capital, and about 380 km north of Cebu City, and also less than 2-hour drive from Legazpi City, the Regional Administrative Capital/Center of Bicol. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 137,810 (compared to Legazpi City: 157,010) people in 26,317 households.

    Thailand

    Bangkok is the capital and largest city of Thailand, with an official 1990 census population of 8,538,610. It is one of the fastest-growing, most economically dynamic cities in Southeast Asia. It is emerging as a regional centre to rival Singapore and Hong Kong. The World Meteorological Organization has dubbed Bangkok the world's hottest large city. Moreover, it is one of the world's most popular tourist destinations.

    Pathum Thani is one of the central provinces of Thailand. The province is located directly north of Bangkok and is part of the Bangkok metropolis. In many parts the boundary between the two provinces is not noticeable anymore, since both sides of the boundary are being equally urbanized.

    Nakhon Ratchasima (also known as Korat) is a city in the north-east (Isan) of Thailand. It is the capital of the Nakhon Ratchasima Province and Nakhon Ratchasima district. As of December 2005, the city has a population of 150,768, which makes it the third-biggest city in Thailand. Nakhon Ratchasima is also capital of the province Nakhon Ratchasima.

    Timor-Leste

    Dili is the capital of East Timor. It lies on the northern coast of Timor island, the easternmost of the Lesser Sunda Islands. Dili is the chief port and commercial centre for East Timor, and has approximately 150,000 inhabitants. There is also an airport in Comoro, renamed after independence leader Nicolau Lobato, which is used for commercial and military flights. Dili is also the capital of the district of Dili, which includes the surrounding area.

    Vietnam

    Hanoi, estimated population 3,083,800 (2004), is the capital of Vietnam and was the capital of North Vietnam from 1954 to 1976. Before that, it had served as the capital of the entity now known as Vietnam from at least the 11th century until 1802 (with a few brief interruptions). The city is located on the right bank of the Red River.

    Ho Chi Minh City is the largest city in Vietnam, located near the delta of the Mekong River. Under the name Prey Nokor, it was the main port of Cambodia, before being conquered by the Vietnamese in the 16th century. Known as Saigon until the end of the Vietnam war, it was the capital of the French colony of Cochinchina, and later of the former state of South Vietnam from 1954 to 1975. In 1975, Saigon was renamed Ho Chi Minh City. The city center is situated on the banks of the Saigon River, 60 km from the South China Sea.

    Da Nang (occasionally Danang) is a major port city in the South Central Coast of Vietnam, on the coast of the South China Sea. It is one of the 5 independent municipalities in Vietnam. The city is classified as an industrial zone and has port facilities to handle container traffic. A number of light industries are located in the city.
